Specialized
Services
On
an on-going basis every six months Blue Valley reviews its
services. The end of the year review of Blue Valley, for
1999, taught us that 15 individuals had terminated from
services. An additional 26 consumers were considered to
be "at-risk" for termination.
Funding
from Jackson County Board of Services enabled us to develop
a specialized service to focus us these individuals. The
purpose of this new service was to increase the targeted
worker's work speed and to reduce the satisfaction they
received from working.
Results
of the first year were staggering. 97% of individuals referred
to the service remained in employment at Blue Valley, 59%
reached work standard and 20% transitioned out of the service.
By the end of the second year 96% of individuals referred
continued to remain in employment at Blue Valley and 29%
of individuals referred for services during the second year
had transitioned out of the service. This has been a real
story of success!
